We are supporting a Mace Dragados UK & Ireland JV to complete the repurposing of a former school, known as Maria Fidelis, on North Gower Street, as part of the HS2 works at Euston station. We are acting as the main contractor for these works.
We’re leading this programme under an NEC Contract in two phases.
The first phase required refurbishment of part of the ground floor of the former school, where we have:
- revitalised the building’s brickwork;
- provided M&E services
- replaced over 200 windows (including sash windows)
- procured and installed internal and external doors, lockers
- refurbished flooring on the ground floor and in the sports hall
- transformed the ground floor interior to provide new workspaces, social spaces, early years play area, library, communal kitchen, unisex and accessible toilets.
This phase now provides a community hub for local residents.
Phase Two of the programme will complete the remainder of this 4-storey building which, when complete, will provide a wide variety of community services for the local area.
